Rockstar Investments - Logo & stationery design

Project Requirements:

• New logo/brand identity
• Business card and stationery design
• Full colour printing

Project Brief:
Rockstar requires a strong identity that portrays a professional, unique and competent markeing strategies company.

The company identity should be attractive to asset managers but should will not fit with the normal corporate norm for these types of businesses.

The business is based in Hong Kong and will deal with global
equities and funds etc.

Once the brief had been discussed and agreed we created a mood cloud and sample images that supported our suggested direction.

The logo needed to simple, but clearly place the company in their market sector, we played with ideas of the star being a focal point and also the use of a 'ticker tape' style graphic treatment to represent the stock investment element of the company.

One of the strongest images we happened upon was of a Chinese Junk sailing in Hong Kong harbour, this formed the basis of the last 2 logos below, it was agreed that this was a good way to go. The liked the simplicity of the thin font too, so we developed this a little further and tried some different positions and colour options.

After revisiting some of the searlier concepts it was agreed to try combining an earlier concept with the sail motif to produce a stronger visual look the elements worked well together and the logo was born.

Stationery Design:
We wanted to produce a really visual stationery that utilised the ticker tape design as much as possible, so we opted for a fading watermark effect on the letterhead and compliment slip and a spot UV (gloss effect) on the business cards.
