Could your leaflet qualify for VAT exemption?
VAT (17.5%) is applicable to print that holds a value.
So leaflets are subject to VAT if their intended use is for any of the following:
- A calendar
- To obtain a free or discounted entry to premises
- To obtain a discount on goods or services
- As reference material
- A means of collecting details (i.e. something to fill in or return)
There must be no reason to keep your flyers; no discounts, no offers for free services or goods, no forms to fill in and it must not be a ticket, calendar, invite or business card.
We print the majority of our leaflets on 130gsm gloss paper, which is ideal for folding and does not cost much to post.
